Thich Nhat Hanh on Loosening the Knots of Anger
Facing
the world's problems with your eyes wide open can be tough work. I've
been doing it for many years now, and I've gotten burnt out many times
before. But I've always come back to the work, and I've also gotten
better at spotting the signs of burn out so that I can take care of
myself and avoid a full 'burn out' cycle. To give credit where it's due,
I'm most thankful for the writings of Thich Nhat Hanh. His books such as 'Teachings On Love' and 'Anger' have done the most to offer me support for this work that we do.
Because to help others we have to know how to take care of ourselves. - Tim Hjersted
